About us

Two friends from Bratislava, now in Prague and Ireland, building the tool we wished we'd had.

Andrej Majer

My name is Andrej. I'm from Bratislava, Slovakia, and I study Biomedical Electronics at South East Technological University in Carlow, Ireland. I always wanted to be an engineer, and here I get to learn how cutting-edge tech like pacemakers, implants and surgical tools actually works. Outside uni I like following where AI and tech are heading, watching F1, and occasionally losing a game of chess :) I've spent a few years in software QA, where I learned to enjoy spotting patterns in what people actually do, and that curiosity eventually led me to start Victic with Jakub.

I'm Jakub, originally from Bratislava and now studying Marketing Communication and Public Relations at Charles University in Prague. I've always liked building things of my own, which is how I ended up starting a streetwear brand, launching my own event series and later founding Victic with Andrej. Along the way, I've also helped organize events and worked with marketing agencies and businesses. Outside work and uni, I follow basketball and have a soft spot for fashion and design, the more character something has, the more likely it is to catch my eye :). A lot of my ideas come from everyday things I notice, though I usually work them out late at night with a lamp on and music playing. At Victic, I look after business development and marketing, getting to know our clients and figuring out how we can make the service useful to them.

How Victic started

Victic started with Jakub's internship. Part of the job was keeping an eye on what competitors posted on social media, by hand. It took hours, and it was easy to miss things. We knew we could make it better and more reliable, so we built it. It wasn't our first project together either: before Victic we started a student event series that drew over 600 people a night, so we already knew we work well as a team.

What was hard

When we started, we knew little about automation, and school left us little time. We also didn't want to be another vibe-coded business, quick to launch and full of half-finished, buggy work. The real puzzle was combining two things: plain scripts, which do exactly the same thing every time, and AI, which can actually understand a post and tell you what it means. Scripts alone are reliable but blind, and AI alone is clever but unpredictable. Getting the reliability of one and the judgement of the other took a lot of trial and error, and it's the part we're proudest of.

Where we're heading

Victic is the tool we wished we'd had when we started. From here, we want it to keep working every time, keep getting better as we learn, and make work easier for everyone who tries it. We're confident we got it right, so the people who find Victic now will only wish they'd found it sooner.
